Our commitment is based on three pillars

Green by Use : Promote best practices and raise awareness among our teams to encourage a sustainable use of digital technology in their daily work.

Green for IT : Continuously improve the environmental performance of our IT infrastructure and tools.

Ecodesign : Integrate environmental issues into the design of our digital services for more sustainable solutions.

An internal innovation: My Project Impact

To take this further, we have developed My Project Impact, an exclusive tool for calculating the environmental footprint of each SII project. It is a concrete way to measure, understand, and reduce our impact.

Green by Use embodies our desire to support our customers and employees in adopting more moderate, inclusive, and sustainable digital practices.

In concrete terms, this means:

  • Raising awareness and providing training to encourage good digital habits on a daily basis.

  • Promoting inclusion and accessibility so that digital technology can be a source of opportunity for everyone.

To encourage the adoption of these practices, several training modules are available internally:

  • “Responsible Digital Technology and Me” is mandatory for all employees

  • “Introduction to Digital Accessibility” provides an overview of disabilities, tools, and recommendations for content creators and web developers

  • “Responsible Communication” offers suggestions for taking environmental and social issues into account in communication and event planning

Green for IT reflects our ambition to reduce the environmental footprint of our IT resources throughout their life cycle. It is implemented by internal IT teams through the management of the environmental performance of IT resources (individual equipment, networks, and data centers).

In concrete terms, this means:

  • 75% of PCs and 86% of monitors purchased by the SII Group carry eco-labels, selected for their high standards and reputation: TCO-Certified or EPEAT (Gold or Silver level).

  • SII France entrusts all its WEEE to the Ecologic organization for sorting and end-of-life treatment appropriate to each piece of equipment that no longer meets internal needs.

Eco-designing a digital system or service means integrating social and environmental issues from the design stage and throughout the life cycle of digital systems and services by incorporating them into all our professions: designer, architect, developer, tester, etc.

Our approach is based on:

  • A continuous improvement process to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable solutions.

  • Specialized skills and management tools, including indicators and benchmarks based on recognized standards.

  • An efficient and tailor-made internal training program to get our teams—designers, architects, developers, testers—on board with this transformation.

By choosing SII, you benefit from innovative digital solutions designed to limit environmental footprint and meet societal expectations, while guaranteeing quality and performance.

To strengthen our eco-design approach and manage our impact, we have created My Project Impact, an innovative tool that assesses the environmental footprint of a project or team.

This tool allows us to:

  • Engage our employees by raising their awareness of the impact of their technical and organizational choices.

  • Inform strategic decisions to design more responsible digital services.

  • Provide our clients with a transparent view of the environmental impact of their projects, promoting choices that are aligned with their CSR objectives.

  • Monitor key indicators to continuously improve our practices and achieve our carbon reduction ambitions.
