Bernard Huvé, fondateur de SII
The beginnings of history

Bernard Huvé, an engineer by training, set out to create SII (Société pour l’Informatique Industrielle). Specializing in industrial IT, Bernard quickly recruited his first employees to fulfill fixed-price contracts for major groups such as Philips, the French Atomic Energy Commission, and Bull.

Bureau 1980
First deployments in France

This decade was marked by the creation of our first SII agency in Nice (1984) following a major contract with IBM's laboratory; followed by the rollout of our model in the Paris region with Cergy Pontoise (1987) for our client Sagem, and finally the Vélizy site (1989) for Matra, Renault, and Sextant.
The company's workforce then exceeded 100 people.

Structuring and sustained development in the region

The 1990s were marked by a proactive approach to quality, focusing on formalizing our procedures, methods, and best practices. In 1992, we obtained ISO 9001 certification for all our activities.
At the same time, we continued our development strategy throughout France with the creation of multiple agencies (Rennes, Aix-en-Provence, Nantes, Toulouse, Strasbourg, and then Lille).
Finally, in 1999, we went public to increase our visibility. Bernard Huvé, founder and CEO, is the majority shareholder along with his family.

International expansion and changes in governance

The Group continued to expand its French network and embarked on international development with the opening of a subsidiary in Poland (2006), followed by the Czech Republic, Belgium, and Morocco, as well as the acquisition of the Coris Group in Switzerland and Concatel in Spain.

To support the Group's growth, which now exceeded 1,500 employees, a new management team was formed in 2007. Bernard Huvé took over as Chairman of the Supervisory Board and appointed Eric Matteucci as Chairman of the Management Board.

Acquisitions and continued international expansion

The strategy of expanding beyond France is being confirmed and accelerated with acquisitions in Germany, Belgium, and Colombia, and the creation of new locations in the Netherlands, India, Canada, and England.

The Group is also pursuing external growth in France to support its development, notably with the acquisition of Feel Europe in 2016, aimed at strengthening our position in the banking sector.

In 2019, we celebrated our 40th anniversary and announced the strengthening of the Group's top management and the creation of a Development Department to accelerate the company's growth.

An ambitious future

Capitalizing on the solid foundation we have built over more than 40 years (through our international presence in 18 countries and annual revenue of over €676 million), and driven by a context of profound business transformation, the Group is pursuing an ambitious development strategy for the coming years. To achieve this, we are basing our strategy on four pillars:

- Continuing to support our clients technologically and geographically.
- Investing in methodology and innovation to build expertise.
- Amplifying actions and initiatives that lead to the professional fulfillment of our employees.
- Ensuring SII's long-term place in society through a responsible social policy.

A strong commitment to a sustainable digital world

A new purpose has been established: “Working together to develop a digital and sustainable world.” This is a sign that SII wishes to continue growing to satisfy its customers while building on its DNA and historical values to ensure the fulfillment of its employees.
At SII, as a player in digital transformation, we are proud to participate in building a digital and sustainable world by integrating social and environmental concerns into all our projects.

This is also the year our Foundation was created: in line with our Corporate Social Responsibility approach, we launched the SII Foundation, which embodies the group's desire to commit to the public interest by supporting associations and mutual aid organizations. It promotes philanthropic engagement by supporting solidarity projects, with an emphasis on digital technology as a factor for inclusion and solidarity.
