THE OPPORTUNITY

SII UK are hiring a System Architecture Team to provide expertise across multiple disciplines to support project teams at various CADMID cycle phases.

TASKS:

The primary activities encompass, but are not limited to the following:

Mechanical Architecture:

• Capture and ensure compliance with System TRS parameters.

• Support and optimize mechanical architecture.

• Update Technical Requirements and Interface Specifications.

• Ensure Safety Officer approval of mechanical design.

• Implement GMA Policies for Modularity & Reuse.

• Manage Statements of Work and budgets.

Electrical & Electronic Architecture:

• Define and manage system electrical architecture.

• Write technical requirements and specify communication, processing, and power systems.

• Design signal safety and specify interfaces.

• Review designs, support testing, and lead fault investigations.

C Test & Testability Architecture:

• Specify and optimize factory pass-out testing.

• Resolve production test failures and specify built-in test functionality.

• Analyse test coverage and manage TE delivery. Equipment Requirement Authority (ERA)

• Manage equipment work packages, including plans and budgets.

• Ensure stakeholder management and accountability for equipment requirements.

• Produce Statements of Work and manage design authorities.

• Plan design reviews and manage risks.

Safety Engineer:

• Manage hazard and risk analyses for electronic systems.

• Derive safety requirements and support Safety Management Plans.

• Author Safety Case Reports and manage Safety Panels.

Reliability Engineer:

• Produce reliability predictions and FMECA for electronic systems.

• Derive reliability requirements and support R&M Plans.

• Manage R&M Cases and author Case Reports.

SKILLS:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of defence/industry standards.
  • Technical management and project planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
