THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a passionate and committed Electronic Engineering Team Lead to join our innovative team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with significant electronic design or power electronics experience, who is ready to step into a leadership role and make an impact on how we design and deliver cutting-edge solutions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a team of electronic engineers in the design, development, and delivery of electronic systems, with a focus on power electronics.
  • Manage and oversee electronic design packages, ensuring quality and efficiency in the delivery of projects.
  • Challenge existing processes and introduce innovative ideas to improve product design and development.
  • Manage budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure projects are delivered on time and within cost parameters.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across departments, effectively communicating project progress and aligning team goals with overall business objectives.
  • Influence and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Support and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.

SKILLS:

  • Significant experience in electronic design or power electronics.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams, or a strong desire to step into a leadership role.
  • Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline, with post-qualification experience in electronic design, development, and delivery.
  • Proven experience in managing budgets and resources effectively to meet project timelines and cost targets.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to challenge conventional processes and bring fresh ideas to the table. Desirable: 
  • Experience leading electronic engineering teams or significant design projects.
  • Experience in Aerospace and Defence.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in electronic and power electronics design.
