THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Software Validation Engineer skilled in Java and C to test and validate payload software for communication satellites. You will ensure mission-critical software meets reliability and performance standards in space environments, working closely with the development and system teams to achieve high-quality results.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute test plans for payload software on communication satellites.
  • Write and execute automated and manual test scripts using Java and C.
  • Simulate satellite payload operations and perform system integration and regression testing.
  • Track and resolve software defects using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
  • Prepare and maintain test documentation in compliance with standards like DO-178C or ECSS.

SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Strong experience in software testing for embedded systems or mission-critical environments.
  • Proficiency in Java and C programming.
  • Knowledge of satellite communication protocols and testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, CUnit). Experience with test automation, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).

Desirable Skills:

  • Familiarity with Python scripting.
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing. Knowledge of AWS or cloud platforms for software simulations.
