THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Senior Autonomous Embedded C Engineer to develop and enhance the code for payload software in communication satellites. This role requires hands-on development in embedded C, working closely with hardware and systems teams to ensure the software meets performance and reliability standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain embedded C code for satellite payload systems.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers and hardware teams to ensure smooth integration.
  • Optimise and troubleshoot software to meet stringent performance criteria.
  • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and system testing to ensure quality.
  • Onsite presence required for 3 days per week for collaboration and system testing.

SKILLS:

  • Proven experience in embedded C software development.
  • Strong background in satellite communication or mission-critical systems.
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Experience with payload software development and testing methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of satellite payload architectures and communication protocols.
  • Familiarity with Git, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in autonomous software systems or machine learning in embedded environments.
