GTS’ mission is to provide the group’s business divisions with secured infrastructures. This includes, but is not limited to, hosting business applications, offering cloud solutions, and managing connectivity and digital workplace requests, all while contributing to the group’s digital transformation efforts.

The vision within the Global Technologies Services team is to provide leading-edge cost-effective technology services and support based on an infrastructure that is shared by the SG companies, requiring adherence to common standards, policies, and security settings. The teams are globally aligned to leverage best practices, standards, and procedures on a worldwide basis. The Middleware group is part of global team providing support activities globally. The middleware administrator in Montreal will work closely with other middleware administrator based in Montreal, US and Paris to manage middleware located in Canada and US and also participate in on-call shift rotation providing support to worldwide systems.
What will be your day-to-day?
The Filetransfer administrator’s responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Main supported technologies:
- IBM Sterling suite (Connect Enterprise, Connect Express, Connect Direct, Sterling File Gateway, Sterling Secure Proxy, etc.)
- Axway CFT is a plus.
- Main supported protocols:
- FTP, SFTP
- PeSIT
- Connect:Direct (C:D)
- FTP/SSL
- Provide off-hour and weekend production on-call support and be able to handle on-call alerts
- Provide on-call support as part of Follow-the-sun support to Paris and Asia systems
- Provide advice, best practices to the team’s client (internal, GTS, ITEC …)
- Help implement and update the team standard (installation, best practices, etc …)
- Contribute to API factory for provisioning and automation of the File transfer platform.
- To be process-oriented and be able to implement a common set of standards, methods and procedures used for all file transfer work, as well as be able to recommend software and hardware upgrade paths

Desired/Plus:
- Familiarity with ITIL process
Required/must have:
- Knowledge of file transfer technologies (key exchange, basic networking, …)
- Strong knowledge on operating systems (Linux / Unix / Windows)
- Skill in scripting (Shell, Python...)
