About the job :
As a division of the Global Chief Operating Office (GCOO), the Global Technology Services (GTS) department supports the IT infrastructure services at Societe Generale. GTS’ mission is to provide the group’s business divisions with secured infrastructures. This includes, but is not limited to, hosting business applications, offering cloud solutions, and managing connectivity and digital workplace requests, all while contributing to the group’s digital transformation efforts.
The aim of Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) Canada is to deliver day-to-day services to Societe Generale investment and corporate bank units and their clients to accelerate their transformation. GBSU differentiates itself from competitors with the pace of the agile transformation delivered, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening the decision-making process, and adopting a true industrial approach, leveraging on different teams either transversal or aligned to the different sub business units.
What will be your DAY-TO-DAY?
Your day-to-day responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- SAS support and act as Admin when required
- Monitor job statuses and troubleshoot issues on a daily basis
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support mainly, in addition to some Level 1 support (10 to 20% of the workload)
- Fulfill change management process and deploy code changes while working with development team
- Provide quality assurance for new enhancements
- Work with schedulers, schedule new jobs and enhance schedules (Autosys or Airflow)
- Perform infrastructure upgrades and patching
- Handle user request management
- Provide monitoring and support during maintenance and infrastructure weekends
- Perform problem analysis on incidents, identify root cause and provide workarounds
- Enhance monitoring and controls on applications and identify opportunities to automate
- Coordinate with teams in Bangalore, Paris, Canada, and the USA
- Manage communication and expectations with business users
- Ensure production environment is stable with minimal impact on business
Profile
Skills and Qualifications:
Must have:
- Ability to read code and develop intermediate-level scripts and programs to support complex applications
- Restart SAS Services Via SAS Management Console, manage the User/Group/Roles profile, manage data libraries
- Via SAS Visual Analytics Admin, manage the Visual Analytics/LASR servers
- Read SAS logs and perform diagnosis, Update SAS licenses
- Ability to work with APIs and write programs to develop or call existing APIs
- Ability to prioritize production issues based on business impact and urgency
- Experience using scripting languages (PowerShell, Batch, Unix, etc.)
- Experience with relational databases
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize activities over multiple applications.
- Knowledge in financial industry
Nice-to-have:
- Experience troubleshooting applications and looking at source codes in Java/.NET when required
- Experience with cloud
- CI/CD experience
- Interest in programming
- FRM and/or ITIL Certification
LANGUAGE: French and English
- Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, is a requirement as the person in this position will need to collaborate regularly with colleagues and partners in the United States.
